Fundraising for the Lighthouse Club Continues

Geocel is delighted to have renewed its partnership with the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity (Lighthouse Club) for 2022. This follows a combination of fundraising activities and corporate donations that raised £13,390 for the charity in 2021.

Our charity of choice, the Lighthouse Club is the leading charity for providing emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to the construction community and its families. Through its confidential 24/7 Construction Industry Helpline and supporting app, the organisation offers information, advice and guidance on a wide range of wellbeing issues.

The charity also delivers a variety of free construction focused training programmes to support the industry including hour long interactive wellbeing sessions and the MHFA England, Mental Health First Aider qualification.

Over the course of 2021, we held a series of fundraising events to promote the Lighthouse Club, including golf days with customers in the UK and Ireland. These events, generous donations from customers and an additional corporate contribution raised £13,390 for the charity.

As part of our support, we have promoted the Lighthouse Club’s helpline on our Mate range, which was relaunched last year with a brand-new design, to raise awareness of the charity’s services.

Bill Hill, CEO of the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity said, “We are absolutely amazed by the support we have received from Geocel so far and delighted to have partnered with them again this year. The fundraising has been fantastic, already joining our prestigious Wall of Fame for smashing their £10,000 target.”

“As well as vital fundraising, Geocel is helping to promote our charitable services through its Mate range. This means that we can reach trades that urgently need our support and ensure that no construction worker is alone in a crisis,” Bill added.

“We are immensely proud of Geocel’s contribution to the Lighthouse Club,” commented Laura Hettenbach, Senior Trade Brands Campaign Manager. “The organisation provides incredible support and life-saving guidance to those in our industry who really need it. We are delighted to have renewed Geocel’s partnership with the Lighthouse Club in 2022 so that we can continue to fundraise throughout the year.”
